I Love working as a Neonatal nurse. Retired from the county and now working as a travel nurse. I also Love being creative in different and unique ways. I love giving back to the community getting involved in making arts and crafts that were auctioned off for charity. After more than 35 years in the field of nursing I have seen how stress, diet, and life style can really affect our physical and emotional wellbeing. Both my children and grandchildren and many friends being hyper sensitive to so many things started looking for earth friendly alternatives. How I love pure organic essential oils. Our family use them for so many things. Combining them with wanting to be creative has given birth to HammerChix.com where I can be creative not only with organic essential oils and candle making, but with all kinds of art I love. Now that I have reached my golden years it’s time to focus more on less stressful activities and share my creative side.

Living on & off the grid
We are two sisters, one living in the city and one living in the county. Blending the two together doing the things we love doing. Working on becoming more and more self-sufficient. We both have added solar to our homes for our energy source. We are growing vegetables in wicking bed system; the water pump is run off of solar power. As well as in the greenhouse that we run a hydroponic system using solar power for the pump as well. We free-range/raise our own chickens for eggs. Store bought eggs just can’t compare. We make our own scratch feed for them. We don’t want them to have any of the GMO foods such as most wheat, corn and soy that most feed come from these days. We will soon have a Blog to share our videos about what we have found that has worked for us and what we found that has not worked for us. Of course, we’re always looking for any suggestions and ideas!
